Dr. Mary Hogue

Mary Hogue is Associate Professor and Assistant to the Chair in the department of Management and Information Systems in the College of Business at Kent State University.  She received her Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from The University of Akron.

As a researcher, Dr. Hogue explores the way social status and gender intersect to result in different work experiences for women and men.  Her research examines differences related to leadership, communication, and pay.  She has presented and published her research at national and international conferences and in top-level management and psychology journals.

As an invited guest speaker and workshop leader, Dr. Hogue has counseled a variety of workers in leadership development.  Her presentations and workshops related to the experiences of women focus on strengthening the communication skills of women, with an emphasis on nonverbal messages.
